The General Ledger Accountant ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.

General Ledger Accountant

  • Responsible for recording all phases of accounting activities and ensuring company policies and procedures are strictly followed
  • Responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts as assigned, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and preparing journal entries for the month-end close
  • Prepare sales report for management
  • Assist with daily activities and month end close if necessary
  • Accretive invoice tracking, analysis for approval and payment
  • Act as a liaison between management and third party fulfillment provider.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting as required
  • BA degree in Finance/Accounting or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Work independently, setting own pace and priorities to meet month end close deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment responding to management needs
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills to ensure all accounts are properly reconciled on monthly basis
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
