The Supply Chain Analyst supports supply chain operations by producing and analyzing reporting on major initiatives. This position will be tasked with acquiring data and developing business models to assess various areas of the Supply Chain including Sourcing, transportation, Inventory productivity, DC space utilization, etc. This position’s key responsibilities may include the following:
• Work with key business stakeholders to develop business models to support "what if" analysis across the supply chain processes.
• Develop data models to assess & identify process and flow optimization opportunities with schedules and implementation plans.
• Build financial models and provide analytical support for business initiatives.
• Prepare business reviews and ROI analysis.
• Coordinate and support preparation of business plans, capital plans, monthly rolling forecasts and cost reduction plans.
• Develop Key Performance Indicators to monitor and report on business performance versus plan and forecast.
• Development and implementation of process improvements related to accumulating and reporting supply chain data.
• Assist in creating forecasts for inventory and return to stock volume.
• Prepare various management reports.
• May assist in the consolidation and generation of monthly supply chain & transportation forecasts.
• Assists in preparing annual projections and strategic supply chain projections.
KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• One to three years of financial or supply chain experience, preferably in a retail, distribution, or consumer packaged goods organization.
• Knowledge and experience with supply chain financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and a strong detail focus.
• Ability to develop business cases and ROI.
• Strong knowledge of application software (including but not limited to: spreadsheet, database, and graphics). Specifically, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc).
• Ability to effectively communicate supply chain data upwards.
• Proven ability to build models to support “what-if” cases, etc.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service approach.
