Sr. Analyst, Marketing & Business Development - Submit Resume

JOB SUMMARY:
In support of Marketing Department: a) Provides in-depth analytic support to current and new products through development and implementation of forecasting systems and models; b) Ensures that forecasting models meet corporate standards and requirements. In support of Business Development: Contribute to Business Development projects by providing market research, analytical and forecasting support, and coordinating collaboration with various functional areas within the company and with external parties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

For Marketing Department (50%)
• Support Sr. Strategic Market Analysts in the development of forecasts, and maintain forecast models (20%)
• Manage competitive intelligence database (15%)
• Fulfill ad hoc and routine reporting needs for the department (15%)
For Business Development Department (50%)
• Support Sr. Manager, Business Development, in developing business cases for licensing and acquisition opportunities by performing market assessment, forecasting and financial analyses, and coordinating expert input communications (35%)
• Assist Business Development team to search, identify and prioritize new licensing and acquisition opportunities (10%)
• Maintain Business Development knowledge base (5%)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree, in Marketing, Life Sciences, Finance, Economics or related work experience. MBA preferred.
• Two years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech market analysis, forecasting, resource planning, data management related to customer analysis, or other related fields.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform quantitative analysis, including technical and financial analysis of customers and competitors.
• Basic knowledge of financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of statistics, time series, regression as they apply to the forecasting process: Understanding of marketing and the market place.
• Working knowledge of data management, including database and spreadsheet applications, with the ability to use complex models and specialized computer applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a project from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
• Familiarity with secondary pharmaceutical marketing research resources, such as IMS, Wolters Kluwer, Verispan data
