The receptionist is responsible for interfacing with personnel, customers, clients, visitors and all delivery personnel on a day-to-day basis. The receptionist is responsible for answering and screening all incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate staff members in the office.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a professional and appropriate manner. Delegates all incoming calls according to nature of business.
• Relays all phone messages to appropriate individuals in a timely manner, using email where possible.
• Directs all incoming calls for members of the Executive team to their respective assistants.
• Ensures that the reception area is neat and tidy at all times throughout the day.
• Leaves the reception area in a respectable state every the evening and switches the phone over to the night answering service.
• Assists in the orchestration of a smooth running and efficient office environment.
• Updates and maintains the telephone list, circulating to all members of staff periodically.
