Responsibilities
•
Capable of completing all necessary Loan Processor responsibilities
and handling loan transactions from beginning to end (see Loan Processor
Position Description)
• Loan preparation
• Loan submission
• Loan closing and reconciliation
• Specific loan processing duties included, but are not limited
to:
• Submit all trust account checks
• Set up file in computer and order all necessary “Verifications”
• Re-underwrite files and let agent know about any discrepancies
or potential problems
• Make “Needs List” for agent
• Return file to agent to review and sign TIL and GFE so processor
may mail it out
• Check and file all returned verifications
• Prepare file for submission
• Copy loan package and prepare for delivery
• Notify agent of loan status
• Review approval and complete all processor conditions
• Confirm fees with lender for loan documents
• Follow up on docs to escrow and send corrected 1003 and
disclosures when applicable for borrowers to sign
• Follow up on funding package
• Make sure all final conditions are to lender
• Follow up on funding and recording
• Follow up on broker check
• Complete close out when check is received
• Audit loan file for DRE regulations
• Complete check requests when applicable
• Document and communicate problems with loans that could
potentially impact borrowers
• Proactively report loan status to Mortgage Consultants (Agents)
• Ensures that all loans are closed on or before their anticipated
close dates. All turn times are met
• Documenting accurate and timely loan data to ensure area
performance metrics and key performance indicators are captured
• Ensures that all loans are closed on or before their anticipated

• Engages daily loan status briefs with team members
• Initiates regular loan origination meetings for Mortgage
Consultants and assistants
• Proactively contacts lenders and third-party service providers
to effectively close loans in a timely fashion
• Reports pertinent lender information to loan processing
and origination groups
• Engages all necessary standard operating procedures, processes
and systems
• Assist in training department new hires
• Participate in client (borrower) meetings to resolve issues
as needed
• Proficient use of MS Outlook & POINT. Also, ability
to learn programs related to industry, existing or new (online and/or
software based).
