Position Description
• Perform research on targeted companies and conduct brief ‘over-the-phone’ interviews identifying the company’s organizational make up, current software environment and key players in the support area.
• Work with the sales team to update them on potential opportunities
• Make at least 50 outbound calls/day.
• Document and track all activity through web-based sales force automation tool (Siebel) including lead/prospect data entry, detailed activity reports, setting tasks for follow-up
• Maintain basic technical knowledge and understanding of product
• Prepare and perform appropriate follow-up communications, sending of marketing and collateral materials to prospective clients.
Qualifications
• Excellent phone/email presence and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Possess a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
• Possess a strong sense of self-confidence and the ability to handle rejection professionally without losing focus or dedication to primary job responsibilities.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a small, rapidly growing company.
• Flexible, creative, self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated success in evaluating customer needs.
• Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback.
• Team player always ready to offer assistance to peers and supervisors in reaching personal and team goals.
• Experience with sales automation systems.
• Inside sales/telemarketing experience with software and/or data or telecommunications products ideal.
