CPA/STAFF ACCOUNTANT (Generalist) - Submit Resume

SUMMARY:
Accounting generalist with opportunity to be exposed to all areas of specialization (individual, business, fiduciary, etc) as well as multiple industries. Primary responsibility is to prepare federal, state and local tax returns and financial statements for individual, business or other organizations under the general direction of the clients managing partner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Preparation of federal, state and local tax returns for all client types within the firm under the direction of the clients managing partner.
• Ensures that client is aware of current periodic tax payments, information reporting and other taxing authority requirements.
• Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and financial statements as directed by the clients managing partner.
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital and prepares balance sheet, profit & loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years experience with an accounting firm performing mainly tax preparation work; some financial statement experience helpful (Big-5 experience not necessary).
• Current California CPA license.
• Full knowledge of ProFx Tax software application.
