Benefits
Manager has company-wide responsibility for designing, planning,
and implementing all benefit programs. Reporting to the Director
of Compensation and Benefits and located in Corte Madera, this position
ensures the programs:
• meet employee and business needs
• comply with legal requirements
• prove cost effective
Although the
role is currently of an individual contributor, the position may
supervise a benefit analyst in the future.
Duties
and Responsibilities
• Manages all benefit programs such as medical, dental, and
vision insurance, retirement plans, term life insurance, disability
programs, and worker’s compensation.
• Seeks ways to improve processes so that the benefit programs
are more easily understood and utilized by employees
• Keeps abreast of programs offered at other companies and
trends in the external market in order to continually improve existing
benefit programs.
• Recommends new plans or improvements to existing plans and
uses influence skills to gain approval from management.
• Manages all aspects of employee training and communication
regarding benefits such as preparing announcements, designing information
packages, delivering employee overviews, conducting enrollment,
and updating plan documents.
• Advises and counsels employees on existing benefits and
management on potential, new benefits.
• Manages vendors to ensure employees receive excellent service
and the benefit offerings are cost effective.
• Acts as the liaison with external agencies and ensures compliance
with regulations, including all external benefit reporting.
• Works with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees,
and beneficiaries to facilitate utilization of benefits, quick response
to complaints, and courteous resolution to inquiries.
• Works collaboratively with others in Human Resources to
continually improve the service provided to all Restoration Hardware
employees.
Experience
• Five or more years experience in Benefits Administration
• Degree in Human Resources a plus
